Vacuum forming more commonly known as vac forming, this is a more simplified version of thermoforming, whereby a sheet of plastic is heated to a forming temperature and then stretched onto or into a single-surface tool, which is then held in position against the tooling surface by applying vacuum between the tool and the sheet of plastic.
